About the Designer

Owner of Golden Venture Graphics: Tawna King on "Traveller"

GVG is proudly owned and operated by Tawna king, a graduate "B" U.S. Pony Clubber. She has competed on the local mid-Atlantic Hunter/jumper circuits, competed through training level eventing, shown to 2nd level dressage and schooled through 4th, and more recently redirected her focus on operating an Warmblood/sporthorse breeding operation at her & her husbands home based "Golden Venture Farm" in beautiful southern Maryland. She currently stands the Imperial Star TASHR Buckskin Tobiano Sporthorse stallion "Maxamillion. Always focused on her horses, she rides young stallion "Maxamillion" at home, and shows him as well as all homebred foals in hand at local and national (Devon) level competitions.

Tawna started her graphic and website design business after a need for a website of her own. After many years of using overpriced web designers she found a young designer who taught her the in's and outs of the business. Many tutorials, lessons, books, and years later she has honed her skills and directed them toward offering quality, AND yet still affordable graphic/website design services to the small business owner.

As a woman who "works to feed" her own horses she knows what is it like to have a budget to work within. She strives to make website and graphic design affordable to all who inquire and will not quit until you are extremely satisfied with the final product. A true love for designing makes this very rewarding more so than "making money".

"I love designing, and would love to use my talent to help YOU!!"

As a side topic of interest:

Another "hobby" of Tawna's is singing. Many horse people who know her do not know this part of her life. She is very gifted vocalist. Karaoke was an addiction that developed into a serious singing bug. She was discovered at a local piano bar on open mic night which resulted in a audition with Peabody Preparatory. She was immediately accepted and studied privately for opera. Her range is extraordinary and described as a "rare" coloratura (Otherwise known as the "breaking glass" range- above high soprano) with and extended bottom register (this basically means FULL range- very rare to be found in any voice) and considered "gifted". She currently is using this gift and is a part time singer and Karaoke show host. She is always encouraging new singers to "find their voice". Tawna is also requested to sing at numerous weddings, funerals, parties, and many other events throughout the year. She occasionally goes out for "fun" still at karaoke- but never without being "mobbed" by the locals to "sing that song" upon entrance. Thought you might enjoy this tidbit of info.

NOTE: If you patiently wait for this page to load, you will hear a song recorded with Tawna King singing. The audio file is in .wma (windows media player) type format and requires that you have it on your operating system to automatically play so that you may hear it. If you do not hear music start when the page is DONE loading, then it may mean you do not have the correct software on your computer to hear the song. We hope you enjoy the music.
